goodbye summer

goodbye summer

We didn’t expect that.
Getting to this point, mumbling it behind our hipster beards. But a terrific summer is coming to an end. At least it was virtually grand in some corners of the world, especially in Berlin. All the more reason to celebrate it again. This summer with its festivals, the warm morning hours and its ecstatic nights. No days of wrath, and “when will we have a real summer again” didn’t matter.
No need to put on our beer goggles. We rarely had to go home and no reason to keep the windows closed. The streets found their way into every home and it was once again worth yelling off the balcony while wars were piling up outside. We listened to music in places we otherwise weren’t welcome and kept going till the break of dawn and later.
A little unsettled and in disbelieve to finally experience “summer in the city“ in all its glory again, and a bit scared it might be gone without any trace of an official sunburn. Enchanting Leonie, who we shot with for a few days this summer, reminds us of everything this summer meant to us. After summer before summer.
